The app we made for this year’s Distortion festival was a huge succes. It rose to the top of the rankings in the App Store and recieved very positive reviews from our users. On top of that we are very pleased to announce that the app has recieved a FWA Mobile award today.
Recently Apple introduced a new feature category - namely Editor’s Choice. That way Apple can put focus on specific apps for a longer period of time than they previously could.
The Songkick Concerts app was one of the most exciting projects we worked on in 2011. Designed to allow you to create your own personal concert calendar, the implementation delivered in spades, catching both media & audience attention.
It is always really nice when Apple decides to promote one of your apps, and we are always very happy whenever it happens to us, this time however Apple has decided to feature not one but two of the apps we have done.
At the end of each year Apple selects a few apps that have stood out and places them on a prominent spot in the App Store. We are, of course, very proud that for the second year in a row Apple has included an app we have made to that list of apps.
The very popular “Mobilbank” iPhone and Android smartphone app from Danske Bank won - not surprisingly - the most Sugarcode awards at this year’s Danish App Awards, which was held Thursday, October 13 at the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen.
About two weeks ago the app we developed for the great people over at Songkick was released in the App Store. We had no doubts that we really loved the app ourselves, but we were very curious to see what people around the world would feel about it.
In Denmark we have a long history of doing great products, a high sense of quality and a flair for design. We at Shape have taken the initiative to establish the Sugarcode award to celebrate those who carry on those traditions into app development.
